Payment Methods
Important notice
This help article picks up key points from our Payment Policy. As part of doing business with us, the Payment Policy applies to all transactions, whether one-off or recurring that you perform with us. Please ensure you are familiar with our Payment Policy, which you can read by clicking here.
Introduction
We have several ways you can pay for our products and services. The availability of each payment method depends on a few different factors such as:
- Your location, or the country your business is registered in.
- The product or service you are purchasing or subscribing to.
- Local and international laws.
- How long you have been our customer.
In most cases, more than one payment method may be available to you.
Note: We do not accept any cash payments for any of our products, services, or subscriptions.
Credit and debit cards
You can pay for most products and services using an accepted credit or debit card. Our credit and debit card transactions are processed by our payment processing partner Stripe.
The following limitations apply to all credit and debit card payments:
Cards we accept
The following cards can be used to make payments for our products, services, and subscriptions:
- Mastercard credit or debit card.
- Visa credit or debit card.
- American Express credit cards.
No other types of cards are accepted.
Note: Some virtual cards may be declined at Stripe's discretion. Prepaid and reloadable cards such as Prezzy cards are not accepted.
Surcharges
We pass on card processing fees that our payment processing partner Stripe charges us for each transaction, which are:
- 2.7% and NZD 0.30 for all accepted credit and debit cards issued in New Zealand.
- 3.7% and NZD 0.30 for all accepted credit and debit cards issued in any other country.
Note: Some of our invoices may not show these charges as multiple payment methods are usually available, but you will see them on the Stripe payments page before you make your payment.
Electronic funds transfer (EFT or bank transfer)
Payments can also be made by transferring the payment amount to our business bank account in New Zealand. This is the simplest way of paying our invoices and is the preferred method of payment for high-value invoices, such as those for multiple service subscriptions, design and development services, and high-volume remote or on-site support services.
Our business bank account information is included on all our invoices for your convenience.
Important: International customers paying us into our foreign currency accounts must use the bank account that belongs to the business or entity they are representing. Payments made from personal bank accounts for services sold to a business or entity will require additional checks by our financial services provider, which may delay access to the services ordered.
Foreign currency bank accounts
We also offer an AUD and a USD account for making payments to us. If you are located in Australia or the United States, we will include the relevant bank account details on your invoice for your convenience and to minimise any transaction costs.
Surcharges
There is no surcharge for making a payment into our bank account from a New Zealand bank account.
If you are paying from an overseas bank account, we may include a NZD 15.00 bank processing surcharge to your invoice as a line item. This is charged by our bank on all incoming international transactions. In some cases, we may choose to absorb this surcharge. If this is the case, your invoice will not include this surcharge.
Currency conversion fees
If you are paying us from an overseas bank account, your bank, or any intermediary banks involved in the transfer process may charge a currency conversion fee in addition to the payment amount and any surcharge. It is your responsibility to pay these fees and ensure no amount is deducted from the invoice amount.
Details to include
When making a payment via EFT, ensure the following details are entered on your bank transfer:
- Our invoice number as the reference.
- Your account number, or your business name if you do not have an account number with us.
- Any additional details that will help us identify your payment and allocate it to your invoice.
Please reach out to your bank if you are unsure how to include details with your transaction.
